Celebrate Love

Have you ever wondered how your girl would feel when you surprise her with an engagement ring? A moment like this should never be taken for granted especially when you believe that she is "the one" you're going to spend forever with.

People say that "Big things come in small packages." No wonder a diamond ring is placed in a simple box so when your girl opens that tiny compartment, she will only utter the sweetest, "Yes".

Small things are not always cheap, just like an expensive ring symbolizing your love for your lovely lady. Just apply for a cash advance and you'll never know how far a simple loan can go.

In the face of true love, the absence of a ring will never replace the presence of your love for one another. Fast cash payday loans can do for a simple candlelight dinner. She will still say, "I do," with your heartfelt love.

Why do people get allergies?

An allergy is any condition in which a person reacts in a hyper- sensitive or unusual manner to any substance or agent. The range of allergies is very broad and people may react to various foods, drugs, dusts, pollens, fabrics, plants, bacteria, animals, heat, sunlight and many other things. If a person develops asthma, it is usually the result of an allergy.

Whenever a foreign material invades the tissues, the body reacts to fight against it. The body produces certain materials called antibodies which combine with the foreign material and render it harmless. But should it enter the body a second time, the antibodies are torn away from the body tissues to attack the substance. This causes a chemical substance called histamine to be released, which in turn produce the disorders which are symptoms of an allergy.

Fact:
In spring and early summer some people suffer from an allergic reaction to certain plants and pollens. This is called hay fever and can give the symptoms of a heavy cold.

Why do we awaken from sleep?

Everybody has strange experiences with sleep. Sometimes we can't wait to go to sleep and other times we just can't seem to get to sleep. What is actually wake us up is something that scientists find hard to and seeing and feeling and carrying on mental activities of all sorts, we use up a lot of energy. So the brain and other nerve centers need a rest.

Sleep clears away our tiredness and when we wake up we feel rested. The most probable reason is that while we are asleep our body still feels hungry, cold or even damp, or we may experience an emotion such as fear. These feelings stimulate our brain and cause us to wake up. Of course we may wake up simply because we have had enough sleep!

Fact:
Even while the body sleeps, its nerve systems are active, continuously monitoring and adjusting the internal processes, and checking the outside world for danger. The heart never stops, but beats slower while at rest.

Why Do We Dream?

Why do people dream?
All our dreams have something to do with our emotions, fears, longings, wishes, needs, and memories. But something on the 'outside' may influence what we dream. If a person is hungry, tired, or cold, his dreams may well include these feelings. If the covers have slipped off your bed, you may dream you are on an iceberg.

There are people called psychoanalyst who have made a special study of why people dream. They believe that dreams are expressions of wishes that did not come true. In other words, a dream is a way of having your wish fulfilled. During sleep, according to this theory, our inhibitions are also asleep.

Fact:

Daydreaming is actually a form of dreaming, only it is done while we are awake. Night dreaming is done while we are asleep. That is the only difference between them, since both are done when the dreamer is so relaxed that he pays no attention to what goes on around him.

Why are some frogs poisonous?

Not all frogs are poisonous but some have developed a venom that they can use should they come under attack from predators. The common toad contains a poison that it exudes through its skin if attacked. Dogs and cats commonly experience this poison, however they seldom suffer serious effects. It does teach them, however, to avoid these amphibians. Cane toads are very large toads which contain a drug capable of causing hallucinations if eaten. The skin of some frogs and toads contain poisons which are among the most powerful known to humans.

Fact:
The South American arrow frog is extremely poisonous. It advertises this danger by being very brightly coloured.

Why do Salmon go upstream to spawn?

Salmon have a natural instinct to return to the place they were born to lay their eggs ( to spawn ). This is a safe place to, usually a quiet area of a river, where young salmon upstream can grow. The adult salmon stop feeding when they first reach fresh water, so they gradually become weaker and weaker.

They often wear themselves out trying to reach the exact place where they want to deposits their eggs. The young salmon remain in the river for a few months, then make the journey to the sea. They stay there for up to four years, then the cycle begins all over again.

Why are the Terracotta warriors famous?

In China the powerful Qin dynasty came to power in the 3rd century BC. They swiftly conquered their neighbors to make a large empire covering most of modern China. The Qin emperor Shi Huangdi standardized weights and measures and introduced a single form of currency. He is best remembered for his construction of the Great Wall of China which stretches for 2,250 km across the north if China.

When the emperor died a huge tomb was built to hold his body. It was filled with a guardian army of thousands of life-sized terracotta ( or pottery ) warriors. Each figure was individually modeled. The figures were placed in three pits inside the large complex surroundings the emperor's tomb.

The figures vary in height (184–197cm - 6ft–6ft 5in), according to their role, the tallest being the Generals. The figures include warriors, chariots, horses, officials, acrobats, strongmen, and musicians. Current estimates are that in the three pits containing the Terracotta Army there were over 8,000 soldiers, 130 chariots with 520 horses and 150 cavalry horses, the majority of which are still buried in the pits.

Why did the Egyptians make Mummies?

The Egyptians believed in an afterlife to which human souls journeyed after death. They thought it important that the bodies of the dead should be preserved for life in the next world, and so they developed techniques for making "mummies".

The dead person's organs were removed and the body was embalmed and dried, using salts and chemicals, and then wrapped in linen bandages. It was then placed inside a coffin. Even animals such as cats and monkeys were sometimes mummified. Many thousands of mummies must have been made, but only about 1,000 survive today.

Tutankhamun(pictured above ) means "Living Image of Amun". became king of Egypt at the age of nine and died when he was about 18. His tomb is one of more than 60 royal tombs around the Valley of the Kings. Its four rooms contained more than 5,000 objects which included ostrich feathers, model ships, a throne and a gold death mask.

Why is Snow White?

Snow is actually frozen water, and as we know ice has no color, why then is the snow white?
The reason is that each snowflake is made up of large number of ice crystals. These crystals have many surfaces. It is the reflection of light from all of these surfaces that makes snow look white.

Snow forms when water vapor in the atmosphere freezes. As the vapor freezes, clear transparent crystals are formed. The currents that are in the air makes these crystals go up and down in the atmosphere.

Fact File:

The Inuit people live in the icy lands of the Arctic North. They were self- sufficient and lived a life on the move, hunting and fishing to survive. They built homes, called igloos, out of solid snow.

Why are Spiders not Insects?

Spiders belong to the class of arachnids which also includes scorpions, ticks and mites. None of these are actually classed as insects. Unlike insects they have eight legs, eight eyes in most cases, no wings, and only two, not three parts to their bodies.

Spiders are found in practically every kind of climate. They can run on the ground, climb plants, run on water, and some even live in water.

The spider manufactures a silk, which it uses to spin its web, in certain glands found in the abdomen or belly. At the tip of the abdomen there are spinning organs which contain many tiny holes. The silk is forced through these tiny holes. When the silk comes out it is a liquid. As soon as it comes in contact with the air, it becomes solid. Spiders are meat-eaters, feeding on insects and other spiders which it traps in its web.

Why we Want to Live on a Budget?

Have you ever been burdened with an unexpected expenses? Like an emergency child support? payment for your bills? What did you do? Why is it important to have a budget? For me, it is indispensable.

When you budget,it helps you to understand where are you going and when trouble comes there has never been a better time to get your finances under control and work with a budget.Just like before, I never take budgeting seriously.I was coming up a little short that time and my only option is to see about qualifying for a cash advance. Now I realized, how important is budgeting and live a life with it, because:

  • Ensures there is actually money set aside for savings and investments, instead of ignoring them because you don't have any money left at the end of the month to save!
  • Enable you to see if you are living within your means.
  • Have money available to handle emergencies and unanticipated expenses.
  • Budgeting is the best way to find your way out of debt and to prevent falling into excessive debt.
  • Having a budget will enable you to see areas that you are overspending so you can eliminate any unnecessary spending to concentrate on reaching your financial goals.

Why not try it yourself? As the saying that goes, “A budget tells us what we can't afford, but it doesn't keep us from buying it.” Happy Budgeting!

Why History speaks through Jerusalem Stone

Stone Importer Honors Beauty and Tradition of the Holy Land
by: GuestBlogger

Jerusalem has been a political hotbed for over 2,000 years. This fact does not seem to change. A visionary businessman has decided to bring the legend and history of possibly the most famous region in the world to the U.S., by importing stone direct from family-owned quarries in Israel www.jerusalemstonecompany.com

For over 5,000 years, stone from these quarries has been used to build the resilient city of Jerusalem. Gill Lobel’s passion is to assure that the exquisite stone educates and open doors to understanding between political and religious groups.

“Jerusalem is the nexus of the Abrahamic religious traditions. This is vitally important to Jews, Christians and Muslims,” explains Lobel who visited Jerusalem often as a child always admiring the stone in the buildings and the legendary “Wailing Wall”. “One does not have to be religious to appreciate the appeal and historical significance of the stone. This stone has a unique power, so it adds an ethereal quality to wherever it is used.”

On a trip years ago, Lobel realized that the very stone from which Jerusalem is built is an affordable and beautiful alternative to granite or marble. Jerusalem Stone, a durable limestone developed over millions of years of ocean water, sand, and shells coming together to create a durable stone. Each variety reflects its own unique hue: bone, gold, grey and rose. Much of the stone contains million year old fossils which add to its depth of beauty. The family purchased quarries in Israel.

“When I touch this ancient stone, I feel the pulse of history. I believe that if the stone could speak, the amazing story of the region would be brought to the forefront,” explains Lobel who sells to builders, homeowners, businesses, churches and synagogues who choose the stone to enrich their facilities. “My vision is to offer an affordable alternative to marble or granite while bringing something historically important and timeless from the Middle East to America.”

Jerusalem is known as “The City of Gold” because reflections of the sun on the stone create a golden glow across the entire town. Even today, the building code in Jerusalem regulates that all new buildings must use the stone in construction or as a facade in order to keep the city historically consistent.

Lobel’s imports the stone direct from his family’s quarries in the Negev desert and the Galil region to North America. This makes the stone more affordable than many commonly used stone materials. He supplies to a number of dealers in the U.S. His passion is to help consumers find ways to utilize the stone in their homes or in their houses of worship thus bringing a bit of history to each project inspiring discussion and reflection.

The hidden costs of outsourcing

by: Guest Blogger

While outsourcing cuts operating costs, lost productivity and attrition rates among off-shore workers due to poor health and loss of social life dramatically decrease companies' profits.

The most common reason why companies send work off-shore is to lower their operating costs. Even with the initial expenditure in setting up project offices, hiring talents, travel, and training, US- and Europe-based companies still save in the long run.

However, there is a hidden cost that companies fail to consider: the health of their outsourced teams. Even among the outsourced workers who are lucky enough to be brought on-shore via H1-B, L-1, or other working visas, the trajectory is almost the same, due to the lack of labor law protections that are accorded to in-house workers or working citizens and immigrants.

An Associated Press story notes that heart disease, diabetes, sleep disorder, indigestion, and stress are common among outsourced workers based in India. The typical culprit is the need to work on overnight shifts answering calls from Europe and America, typically irate ones. Aside from poor health, their social lives also suffer. This is especially true among women who, after working on long shifts, are expected to care for their families upon coming home.
